The AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping is a shortened version of the Certificate in Accounting.

This course covers the basic principles of ledger accounting and methods of recording financial transactions using manual accounting systems and double entry bookkeeping. The course is suitable for people with little or no previous qualifications or experience in either accounting or bookkeeping.

The AAT are the UK’s leading professional body for vocational accountants. Working across the globe with around 130,000 members in more that 90 countries. AAT member are represented at every level of the finance and accounting world, including students, people already working in accountancy and self-employed business owners.

Entry requirements

No minimum entry requirements although GCSEs at grade 4 (C) and above in English and Maths are recommended
The Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping or Business Skills would also be an advantage prior to starting this course.
