More about the course

This course is designed to facilitate a level of growth and learning for students and to develop the skills needed to support the next step on their further learning or employment journey.

This course focuses on creating opportunities of learning through a range of activities and tasks that challenge and promote a better understanding of self.

Building confidence, as well as preparing for the world of work within the customer service sector.

You will cover areas including personal learning and development, money management, customer service / retail skills and independent living skills.

Maths and English will be a compulsory part of the study programme.

Entry requirements

You must already be working at a level appropriate to the study programme; this will be discussed at interview to see if this is the most suitable course.

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve a Level 2 Extended Certificate in Skills for Further Learning and Employment.

You will complete a variety of coursework that will support you in your development and progression towards achieving this qualification.

Work experience opportunities

You will be required to complete a work experience placement alongside your course.

English and Maths

You will be required to attend Maths and English classes on a weekly basis to help make progress in these two key areas.

Where can I progress?

Upon completion of this course, you can progress into employment within the Customer Service / Retail sector, further studies in a vocational area, or supported internship (EHCP Learners only).
