Turn your hobby and passion into a career with a Sports course at Carlisle College. As a sports student at Carlisle College you will have access to our dedicated sports hall and facilities.

At Carlisle College we have invested in world class facilities and the best teaching so that your learning is more relevant, realistic and enjoyable, providing you with the perfect route into further study or employment.

In recent years we have invested multi-million pounds into our city centre campus, which is constantly evolving. Our facilities include state of the art equipment and resources, which significantly expands our modern campus into a real learning community. 

We have a dedicated sports hall along Lismore Place, just down the road from Carlisle College’s main building (less than a 5-minute walk), where you will conduct the practical elements within your course, giving you everything you need to develop your skills and knowledge within sports, health and fitness.

Where will I be studying?

Our sports hall can be found along Lismore Place, just down the road from Carlisle College’s main building.

Students studying Sport will have access to the sports hall during practical sessions, and will work with experienced coaches to progress into a career in the sporting industry.

What facilities can I use outside of my studies?

We aim to provide our students with an excellent learning experience that gives them the practical skills to make a difference within the industry. At college, you'll embrace your independence, make lifelong friends and access our award-winning facilities and activities.

At Carlisle College, we aim to give you as many opportunities as possible to have fun alongside your studies, including guest speakers, work experience, trips and on-campus events.

Do you have study areas for students?

You will have access to many learning spaces where our teams are on hand to help you with independent study, research and academic skills such as referencing. You will also have access to our Student Zone with excellent resources.

Are there places to eat and socialise?

On-site, there is a fully equipped coffee shop, catering kitchen and serving area open at peak times for students and staff, providing hot and cold food, drinks and a space to sit and eat.

If you don't fancy that, you can walk straight into the town centre, which hosts a variety of shops and nearby food places, including Greggs, Costa and McDonalds.
