First up… The Golden Apple Awards!
The prestigious Golden Apple Awards returned for another year, hosted by Newsquest Cumbria. Celebrating the best the education industry has to offer in our county, the evening recognises talent, inspirational people and achievements. We were thrilled to be shortlisted as finalists in not one, or two, but three categories!
· Lisa Ellis, Best Apprentice
· Best Inclusion Initiative
· Louisa De Freitas, Best Student
We were thrilled to be announced as the winner of the award for Best Inclusion Initiative, with our campaign ‘Our Community is Your Community’
Next up, the InCumbria Business Awards!
Celebrating inspiration in Cumbria’s business community, the annual InCumbria Business Awards were held in November 2024. As finalists for both Best Diversity and Inclusion Business, and Apprentice of the Year.
We were thrilled to see Lisa Ellis take the award for Apprentice of the Year. An extremely deserving candidate, Lisa has made incredible achievements during her time as a motor vehicle apprentice.
Next up, despite some tough competition we also took home the award for Best Diversity & Inclusion Business. As a college we take great pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Last but by no means least, the FIS Training Awards!
The annual awards, held by the FIS and Worshipful Company of Plaisterers, in London, recognise outstanding apprentices, students, individuals and organisations, that have made a lasting contribution to training and development in plaster and interior trades.
After receiving a runner up award last year, we were incredibly proud to bring home the award for small College and Independent Training Provider of the Year! A wonderful endorsement of the hard work that our colleagues put in, with 100% success rates for our Apprentice plasterers on their end point assessment.
We’re extremely proud of the hard work of both our students and colleagues in fostering an environment where students can excel and enjoy their college experiences.
