Our Level 2 Business students took the short trip up the M6 to Gretna for a hospitality experience day at the Gretna Green Smiths Hotel.
It was a fantastic experience for them to learn more about the day-to-day running of the hospitality industry, it was particularly interesting for them to learn about the hotels diversification, as they offer dining, weddings and corporate functions on top of being a hotel.
A lot of our students found the day inspirational, and their experiences have given them an insight into their potential future career options beyond learning at Carlisle College.
