Our Level 2 Business and Level 3 Travel and Tourism students have had a visit from the Halston Hotel General Manager, Yann.
Yann spoke to our students about the recruitment process, interview techniques, different job roles in the hotel industry and his own career experience.
The Halston Hotel is one of Carlisle's most luxurious hotels, with fantastic self catered apartments. The Hotel also has a restaurant, bar, conference spaces and often puts on events such as Christmas Parties and Weddings. Our students found the diversification of The Halston Hotel fascinating and learned valuable lessons about the importance of offering a range of separate products.
The talk about Yann's career experience was particularly interesting, and the students were engaged in his story that has led him to become General Manager at The Halston Hotel. Our students will be sure to use his experience and his advice when searching for employment upon finishing their studies.
